Hollywood stars’ former home on sale for over £43m
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s former Beverly Hills house is now on the market for an eye-watering sum of £43,380 680.
The former Hollywood couple, who divorced in 2005, spent three years carefully restoring the house that was originally designed in the 1930s by renowned architect Wallace Neff. Famous for developing his distinctive “California” style, Neff designed many of the residences currently inhabited by billionaires and millionaires alike in the southern state.
Aniston and Pitt purchased the property in 2001 for $13m and then sold it on in 2005 to the home’s present owner Jonathan Brooks, founder and manager of a hedge fund sponsor.
As part of Aniston and Pitt’s renovations to the property, underfloor heating was added beneath the spacious kitchen’s chequered marble floor. The stylish kitchen is well lit with both hanging fixtures and recessed spots. It features subway design tiles on the walls and marble counters to match the flooring.
The dining room is presented in a traditional style, with a large feature fireplace and windows that overlook the grounds. Another feature of Aniston and Pitt’s work on the house can be seen in a bar room. They imported and installed timber floors from a French Chateau that dates back 200 years. The pub-style room also features walls of stacked stone for a vintage feel.
High-hedged for privacy the property comes complete with a guest house, tennis court and a petite pool.
The palatial Beverly Hills property is not publicly listed as yet.
